I am majorly obsessed with loads of products this month! So I want to share my favourites!
When it comes to caring for my skin I am VERY fussy with choosing the right products. I have combination skin and have to be careful when using new products. Lately I have been using some new products regularly and have waited until I’ve used them often to share my honest reviews. I need to start doing a monthly favourites post regularly as I am always discovering new products that I would love to share with you all! Especially when it comes to skincare..
Here are 5 skincare products that I have been using lately which really stood out!
1. Dr Botanicals superfood facial oil which I received in my January Glossybox
I love this product because, A: It smells amazing, like so so nice! And B: It makes my skin glow and look really radiant!
I’d really recommend signing up to Glossybox if you’re anything like me and love trying new products! It’s only £10 a month and you get 5 beauty items every month which can range from make up, hair products, skincare, beauty applicators, and body care! It was a no brainer for me and I signed up as soon as I saw the first blogger recommendation! Convinced? Sign up using THIS link and Glossybox will give you 20% off as a thank you.
2. Imperial Leather Cherry Bakewell Bubble Bath
This smells soooo amazing! I almost went back to little me and kept sniffing the bottle and was tempted to eat it! That’s how yummy this smells. Has anyone seep Mr Kipling? I need a Cherry Bakewell now..
3. Polaar IcyMagic Instant Eye Contour Energiser
I received this from Birchbox in one of my first ever boxes. My sleep is rubbish and I constantly have bags under my eyes. This product genuinely reduced the puffiness around my eyes and kept them looking fresh and awake, so to me this is a must have product. It’s really easy to use, it’s a rollerball and you just roll it under your eyes and on your eyelids to keep them looking cool and energised. This is a major thumbs up from me! 👍🏻
4. Simply Soaps Handmade Products
I received these treats to try and review from Simply Soaps and I am so impressed with them! I was happy to see that the soap blocks were a good chunky size which I knew would last well; as there’s nothing worse than when soaps tend to shrink and disappear quickly after little use.
Their handmade lavender soothing soap was the first product I tried. I love soaps that are scented, especially natural products and the lavender smell instantly threw me into summer mode. It wasn’t too overpowering either. My hands can get really dry and can flare up around the knuckles, but this product was really kind to my skin and made my hands feel nourished. It lathered up really well.
The geranium rose balancing soap stood out to me, simply because of the packaging. I love red/rose packaging, I find it always draws me to a product. I haven’t used this soap yet as I’m waiting to use the lavender one up, but if it’s anything like the lavender soap then I’m satisfied already!
Rub a dub dub!
I’m obsessed with baths and am always using bath salts or a good bubble bath so I was excited to try their Queen Of Sheba organic spa salt + milk bath packet. The packet said to add one tablespoon to a running bath, so I poured in the amount I thought was just about right, and the water started to go ever so slightly cloudy. Normally when in my usual big bubbly bath, even then I still feel I need to apply more shower cream to my legs to shave, but I didn’t need to apply anything at all. I saw that goats milk is used in this product, and that explains why my skin was so soft! I love a nice bath with some salts to go in it and this fulfilled my expectations.
5. James Read Overnight Tan
Okay, so not skincare exactly, but I am so pale ghostly looking and every other tanning product I have tried on my face, leaves me patchy and looking like an oompa loompa! Doobidy-doo! This works really well and has never given me a patchy face, instead a nice tanned glow! I got this from Birchbox.
