+ Affiliate Networks
There are so many successful bloggers out there and many that have managed to turn blogging from a hobby to a full time job. It may seem impossible, but there are so many bloggers out there that have proved with dedication and commitment that you CAN do it!
There are loads of blogging platforms and networks out there that you can sign up to, where you can find brands to collaborate with and/or start to monetize your blog.
One that I really love is Get Blogged
Get Blogged is the easiest solution for bloggers wanting to monetise their blogs, and for brands, businesses and agencies needing help with, or wanting to outsource their outreach in a cost effective way.
Once you’ve signed up to Get Blogged (it’s free by the way) you can apply for blogging assignments that are ranked by your DA (Domain Authority) and search for paid blogging jobs. It’s a great way to earn a little extra income and there is always a variety of different assignments that you can choose from to apply to. This can vary from writing a post about dating, home, wedding and other niches. Whatever your main niche is for your blog, I’m sure there will be an assignment on there that is relevant to your blog; and most importantly to your audience.
The cost for each post can vary, but if accepted for an assignment that you have applied for, you will get paid a decent flat rate for writing the post and creating a link to a site that you have been asked to and you would recommend yourself!
What a lot of first time bloggers don’t always realise is that you need a blogger outreach strategy. Once you’ve published a blog post you can’t just sit back and wait for the stats to explode. Because how would people know that you’ve even published a post? Creating a good strategy will help you promote your posts effectively and reach your target audience. This is how will you get noticed and build an audience, by being consistent and sharing your posts in the right places with the correct strategy.
Another awesome platform where you can find assignments to apply to. Membership is free but you have the choice to upgrade your membership to a ‘Premium Blogger Membership’ for only £5 a month. I have upgraded as it gives you huge access to the site and allows you to post any giveaways that you are currently offering, submit a blogging Q & A, become a featured blogger and loads of other perks! For such a small monthly fee I’d say it’s definitely worth it! Remember you can always go for the free membership option to see what it’s all about before committing! Also you can cancel your premium subscription anytime.
What I love the most about Bloggers Required as it has THE MOST helpful page that provides links to everything a blogger needs, such as: Website/Blog themes, plugins, proofreading tools, SEO tools, email marketing, and the list just goes on! You can also take part in the community and discover other bloggers to build connections with!
With ShareASale you can search for merchants and provide custom links to businesses and get paid a commission when someone buys something through your referral. ShareASale have a wide range of merchants in all industries for you to apply to. I am positive there are at least a handful of merchants listed on there that you currently use or have used in the past. So a recommendation from you should be easy and natural when linking to them in a blog post.
This was probably the first affiliate site that I joined up to and one of the easiest to use. When you have signed up you can search for merchants and brands through the search tool; or have a browse through their most popular advertisers. There are literally thousands of merchants available! And I can guarantee you have experienced and would recommend a good handful of them! They also have an advanced search tool where you can choose the promotion type (percentage off, seasonal offer, free shipping, buy one get one free etc..) so you can really personalise your links, and help them to fit in naturally within a post. See HERE for example.
I’ve seen that a lot of bloggers have been creating and selling their own e-books which is a great idea. If you have some knowledge that you can share with others, why not design an e-book? With Payhip you can sell your Ebooks for free! I believe they do take a small commission which I think it 5% which I’m sure is barely noticeable! I have a 5 chapter blogging guide e-book on there which I’m currently offering for free!
There are endless platforms out there for bloggers to use to start monetising their blog; but these are the main ones that I use and have found useful.
I would LOVE to hear your thoughts and if you have any websites that you would recommend for bloggers?
Please note this post may contain affiliate or sponsored links; which means some of the links provided may earn me a small commission if you sign up to them. This doesn’t affect you in any way so don’t worry! Read more about it here.
